Hi  there,

we are  planing  to  visit  Thailand from april 26th  to may 10th. I  have Slovak passport, my girlfriend has  Czech passport. My  question : Is  that  true that  we  dont  need  to  pay for  Visa /considering  to  take  on arrival Visa  on  the airport/. I  called embassy in Vienna,  Bratislava, Prgue  and  they  dont  know  anything  about  this new rules. They just told  me  beggining from 1 march we have  to  pay  for  Visa .

Second  question: how  much  time  does  it  take  on  the  airport  to  get  the  VISA,  because  we  plan to  fligh from BKK  to  Samui , so how much  time  buffer  should I consider after  landing in BKK?

Tourist Visas are free from 1st April . In the past this has also included VOA. Note that the VOA gives you 15 days which just gives you enough.
