Here are some Audio Test CD's (freeware as well) - Please be careful with the volume, as most of these are frequency, noise and sweep related - adjust the volume to a "safe level" before spinning them:

This is probably one of the best sites out there - excellent source of technical information:

Amplifier Distortion, DC-Offset, and You!

Amplifier Sensitivity, Decibels, and You!

Why 4 Ohm Loads Stress Your Amplifier

(All thanks the the respective owners of the subjects).

I almost exhausted my "secret sources" - hope to see additions, which can be added to my "library".

Thinking of getting new / secondhand / fixing / records???
Got some time on my hand, and wanted to help out fellow board members (if this one is conflicting with the pinned - please feel free to remove this list, or add it to the one that is being compiled (I am in no shape or form affiliated with any of the listed sites), and this list should be considered "as is", so whatever you buy or get fixed, please don't blame me for any bad experiences - but rather post it here (so others can be forewarned / recommended).

http://musformation.com/

great site for information about music and new media etc.

soundcloud.com

one of many new sites that are used by aritsts as a distributor. Part of what makes the new music business so different from the old.

I'm not sure if this company is still active. Shame if it isn't.

Jack. Elpa Shaw will be best known as the Mark Levinson dealer. recently they have piced up Transparent Audio & Dynaudio.

They formerly sold Revel & Vandersteen.

I forget the name but the local dealer of Accuphase & JM Labs Focal has moved a month ago from Bangkok Hi-Fi Center to 4th floor MBK. They have not been open long in the new showroom. I didn't bother going into their listening room.

Correction Theil not Vandersteen. Great to see Von Schweikert have a new dealer.
