That Yearbook show is really great. I have, of course, seen it here - along with many hours of the "3 Games To Glory" trio of DVDs that summarize and celebrate the Pats 3 Super Bowl wins in the past 4 years! I know a Superbowl is alomst two months to go and UBC will broadcast it. I wonder will there be anyone organizing The Super Bowl Party? This year is going to be very special. SEAHAWKS in the Superbowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But watch out for Da Bears! I think that's your NFC Championship game. The Bears defense is awesome. Now that they have a real QB back in there, they may be able to score enough to beat the Seahawks, even in Seattle. #57Posted 2005-12-27 00:46:18
I know that Bear's defense is among the best in the league but I'm not sure about the QB and the offense to score that many points. It is true that the Seahawks defense need a lot of help and all the injury seconday will be ready by playoff. We only rank 16th in total defense but surprisingly rank 4th in points allow per game (Thank to the CBS brodcasters last saturday for giving out this statistic

As you probably know, his dad, Dan Hasselbeck, was a TE for the Patriots back in the 70's. So I'll actually be rooting for them to win the NFC Championship. Of course, when they meet the Patriots in Super Bowl XL, that will be the end of my support ... and of their win streak! #59Posted 2005-12-27 03:14:53 patsfangr, on 2005-12-27 01:20:23, said: danbkk1, on 2005-12-26 10:46:18, said: I know that Bear's defense is among the best in the league but I'm not sure about the QB and the offense to score that many points. Pats are on a roll and verywell could surprise everyone in there run to the bowl. but I hope not because that would mean my steelers would be out of it. I don't want that to happen. The colts might have to hard of a time getting that winning streak started again and I can't see the Jags going anywhere without Leftwhich as starting QB. I don't have a good feeling for the Bronco's, so I going to say it will have to be up to the Pats or Steelers to represent the AFC at the dance. PKG #60Posted 2005-12-27 06:28:55

PKG <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I don't really think it will be a "surprise" to many if my Patriots get back to the Super Bowl. Commentators, players, and coaches alike are all recognizing publicly that the Patriots poor showing through the first 10 games or so was due almost entirely to the uncredible rash of injuries they suffered to key players, including the loss of Tedy Bruschi before the season began. The Patriots have had 44 different starters at the 22 scrimmage positions! Missing for significant periods of time were such key starting players as OLT Matt Light (on IR); SS Rodney Harrison (on IR); Tedy Bruschi; DT Richard Seymour; CB Tyrone Poole (on IR); C Dan Koppen (on IR); RB Corey Dillon; RB Kevin Faulk; TE Daniel Graham; TE Ben Watson; WR David Givens. Returning recently, Bruschi, and Seymour have made a huge difference to the defense. Combined with the completion of the comeback of Rosevelt Colvin from major hip surgery a year ago (a potentially career ending injury); and the emergence of a coming star at CB in rookie Ellis Hobbs; this has returned our defense to the dominance for which it was know last season. Meanwhile, the offensive line continues to be our greatest challenge on the other side of the ball after the loss of Light and Koppen. Rookie Nick Kaczur has surprised everyone with his performance stepping in for Light. And veteran backup Russ Hochstein has likewise acquitted himself very well replacing Koppen in the key Center position. It's still far from a strength of the team. But the OL is keeping it's head above water. Behind it, the now healthy Dillon and Faulk are finding enough room to produce an effective running game once again. And the incomparable Tom Brady has just enough time to find his once again large array of receiving weapons - Branch, Givens, Graham and Watson as the primaries, with occasional contributions from the clever Troy Brown, and the speedy Tim Dwight. As I said, the "experts" have recognized that, and are publicly acknowledging that the Patriots are clearly as great a threat as there is in the league. So, as I said, it will be no surpise to see them defending their Championship in Detroit! #61Posted 2005-12-27 08:36:28

They too are getting everyone back healthy and are starting to hit on all cylinders. PKG <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
The Steelers are, indeed, coming on strong. However, I really believe (and no bravado or "smack" intended here) that Belichick has Cowher's number. The Steelers are an outstanding team. But, against the Patriots, the way our front 7 is playing now that they're all healthy, I think we take away their running game. While Roethlisberger is a decent QB behind their great running game, he's not good enough to carry the team, minus that running game. I'm glad you appreciate what Tedy has done. He's both a fantastic player, and a fantastic guy. I'm proud to have him, and many like him on our team. #64Posted 2005-12-27 10:16:04
Pats - 14
Jets - 7 The LB Varble(spelling) has both touchdowns, playing offense of end. Ty Law (ex pat ) no pun intended has the interception for touchdown for the jets. It looks like the Pats are moving the ball at will. PKG #65Posted 2005-12-27 10:35:03
Half time
Pats - 21 Jets - 7 Corey Dillion had a 2 yd run for a td. PKG #66Posted 2005-12-27 14:15:56
I would just be very happy that Seahawks make it to the superbowl. The result would be another story. I really want to end this have not won any playoff game since 1984 to stop but of course winning the Superbowl would be great as well

This year is probably the Sea Hawks best chance. Homgren knows the bears very well and they are the only worry in the NFC.

PKG As a Bears fan hope you're right about them, but the Gibbs-led Skins kind of scare me -- they seem to be getting hot at the right time and Gibbs is always tough in the playoffs. Actually I think the NFC teams are pretty evenly balanced (unlike the AFC where it will be the Pats or the Colts) and anybody could pull it off. But i think you have to go with the team that has the home field advantage. That would be No. 1 seed Seattle. #69Posted 2005-12-28 11:38:27
As a Bears fan you got to be happy with the QB switch to Rex grossman. It looks like he likes to air it out, and put some points on the board. I should say some offense of points. This year is killing the cheeseheads. I am surrounded by them.
The were pretty quite when my steelers came in to Lambeau to kick there arse. i was lucky enough to get field passes to that one. Best time I ever had at a game. PKG The switch to Grossman was a great half-time move by Coach Smith and definitely gives Da Bears a better chance in the playoffs. And yes, it was extremely gratifying to beat the Pack twice this season. But I gotta admit, your Steelers beat us pretty good too. The Bears vaunted Bears' defence could not stop The Bus. But I still feel we're a better -- or at least more balanced -- team now that we got a passing game. #71Posted 2005-12-28 15:04:16 dekestone, on 2005-12-28 00:50:00, said: Padkapow Guy, on 2005-12-28 11:38:27, said: As a Bears fan you got to be happy with the QB switch to Rex grossman. Deke, I think you need to be cautious about getting too excited over Grossman's chances in the playoffs. He's still a very inexperienced NFL QB. Very few of them do well in the pressure of playoff football. Of course, my QB, Brady, didn't do too badly in 2001! #72Posted 2005-12-28 16:10:45

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Agreed Patsfan. Brady is an exception. The Bears will still rely on the running game and defence to get them as far as they can. I don't really feel that this is the Bear's year (of course I said that about the White Sox too!) but we're moving in the right direction with Smith as head coach and Turner as Off coord. #73Posted 2005-12-28 20:02:48
Brady is the exception to the rule. He reminds me of a hometown boy by the name of Joe Montana. So say he is better. To early to tell yet.

Anyway, I hope my Giants get their act together this weekend against Oakland...They missed their chance to clinch the division last saturday with The Redskins.... #75Posted 2005-12-30 11:47:26 Narachon, on 2005-12-30 11:33:54, said: I'm not a big Seahawks fan, but I have to admit, Shawn Alexander is da man!!
