Just got back from KL with a single entry/90 day NON B.  Nothing new, drop off 9:30am pick up at 2:30pm the next day.  I flew AA Phuket to KL on Sunday, dropped off on Monday picked up on Tuesday and flew back that night.  Crowds are still pretty light.  cr

Well they screwed me at KL.


Non-im B papers in order, and got it back it said 30 days.
I questioned them TWICE about it saying this is wrong, they said it is right.
It shows I paid 550 ringit, for a one year, but the date is wrong.


I got sick during the flight back, I was not able to properly talk to immigration man at Suvarnabuhmi, being in a wheel chair at the time. He red stamped the 30 day visa, that KL consulate INSISTED was "1 year, but I need to enter the country within 30 days... " and gave guy at Swampy gave me a
90 day tourist visa stamp...  

My lawyers said it is not right. I call KL consulate

A very nice woman says it is her fault,
and that of the man who gave it back to me,
"please call back, and we'll see what they can do."
If I FLY BACK TO KL.

I called back, no answer, after lunch a totally nasty guy
gets on the line and starts berating me, then says if it's
stamped red tough luck,Pay full price 550r once more,
even though  the 30 day clearly shows me charged 550r

Then he starts whining on about Thai girls not getting
1st visas at American embassy, and it's my fault for being American.

Well back to Malaysia for a correct visa,
but sure as hell this ass in KL is not getting more money from me.

So one person accepts that it was their mistake,
but another person wants to blame me for USA consulates rules,
and wants to take more money from me.
Certainly feels like I was scammed.

Since this is a mistake by a consulate, the Thai Foreign Office consular section is the place to go to have it corrected. Contact them first to see what they can do.

Seems immigration stamped you in on a non-immigrant entry.

Actually we can not say for sure what happened but fee paid is always charged regardless of visa issued per Consulate rules so there may have been an issue that your papers only qualified for single entry (which appears to be what you obtained).  How long was your work permit valid for?  That seems to often be a deciding factor on multi entry or single entry issue.
