Any Go ,Gos ,or Soapy or BJ bars ? :whistling:

There is a soapy and b/j bars and a few hidden specials in town ask around the bars near the park
Hmmm, never knew that. But it is a very small town, caution advised unless you're solo or have a very tolerant misses and/or boss.

Further to earlier posts I've been there on and off for over 10 years and find it a very pleasant place, as long as you like small Thai towns. Population about 100,000, more and more farangs about all the time but still not exactly mobbing the place. And not enough (last time I was there) to support a farang pub, though there is a bar/caff in the centre somewhere, frequented by the teaching community.

nakwan's got an airport.....blimey  B)

THere are no scheduled flights, the runway is to short. Used mainly for surveys and that sort of thing from what I can gather. Some say it is Thailands answer to AREA 51 in the USA, got some aliens there from Burma and Cambodia

I met one last week, 2 weeks left on a tourist visa and 800bts left, no return ticket, any wonder we get a bad name, I hope he does not find that bar/cafe and spoil your day.

I have some land and will be building just outside Tak Fa in a few months, anyone around that area?
And does anyone know where you can buy malted barley?

Malted Barley? You are thinking of home brewing perhaps? Not sure if its allowed, but I suspect lots do it on quiet. In the UK I would go to Boots but have not seen it on thr shelves here and if you ask, I suspect it will be "no have." even though they have no idea what you are asking for, its easiest to do that. Maybe you could try writing to Boots head Office in Thailand see what response you get or, you have to be lucky and find a Thai who speaks English and understands what it is you are looking for. When I am in a pharamacy I will look for you, you might try the BKK or Pattaya forums with more "tourists" there you may find it easier to find.

If anyone is intrested about local football, there is U19 game today on stadium, 6PM. Nakhon Sawan FC U19 won Northern Region Championship before,(beat Kamphaengphet 1-0 et)and now they are in final 8 in Thailand. Today 1st leg against Suphanburi home, saturday 2nd leg away. Winner goes to semifinal.

And if You don't know, we have two teams in Regional League, Nakhon Sawan FC and Paknampho NSRU FC, next season starts 17-18 February. Season schedule  should be out today

Football, regional league started yesterday. Lamphun Warriors - Paknampho NSRU FC 0-0, game was live on SMM TV.  Even Thailand national team coach Winnie Schäfer was there.

Today Nakhon Sawan FC meets Phitsanulok FC, kick off 16.00 but they play this and next 2 home game in Lat Yao, there is some repairing need to be done in main stadium.

Fixtures and lots of more about thai football here

And if you want see Thai Premier League live, not just in truevisionstv, Chainat FC got promoted for this year. TPL will start next month, fixtures again from site above.

You had better go asap as they wont be playing soon that's because N/Smog will be more than likely flooded big time. I read in the BKK Post yesterday that Yingluck has secured over 500,000 Rai that half a million for the one's of you that don't know how to do number's, for a new flood water retention plane in N/Smog. But don't worry us Upper Class have already taken delivery of the tent's that will accommodate the local's there, and the field kitchen's will be arriving here next week.
Oh I have noticed that the river Ping is up yet another half a mt yesterday so you lot should be getting it in the next day or so.

I live on 10 rai so there is plenty of room here plus some of the things that N/S or KPP don't have.

Proper fresh air, space, nice people who smile a lot and are genuine mountain views, real trees, no traffic jams, except on market days and then only for a couple of minutes, no traffic lights or roundabouts and most of all there is me.

Forgot about your land Bill, if we have a problem size wise can we put a few tent's up at your place I will promise  that there will only be Thai staying none of those dead beat N/Smog Farang peep's.
