Havn't been here for while but now I have something new to share.
2,5 weeks ago i had breast augmentation at Yanhee hospital in Bangkok.
Although I've lived in Bkk for a while now, I went with the a company called "Destination Beauty" .They helped me with booking the popular Dr.Greechart at Yanhee.
Here is how my day was:
I was picked up by Destination beauty's driver at around 8 am and taken to the hospital. It was very convenient to be picked up because I was both tired and hungry. I had to stop eating at 7 am in the morning because I was having surgery the same day,
When I came to Yanhee hospital (around 10 am) a lovely girl called Maya, from DB was already there to meet with me.
I had appointment with Dr. Greechart at 10.30 but as things are in Thailand i had to wait a while longer before i finally met him.
There were lots of people sitting in the waiting room. I would guess there were around 60 people waiting for consultation with various doctors.
Dr.Greechart was unusually talkative and very nice. He took time to explain the procedure while he was making markings with his blue pencil over my chest and under my arms.. He asked me why i wished to do BA and how i wanted it to look like in the end. So I explaned to him that I was not going for the Tennisball-effect, and that I wanted the more natural slope-look.
He also told me there is a new new brand of implants in Yanhee hospital, called Sebbin. They are French from what I understand, and Dr.G told me they are better and more soft than the Mcghan and Mentor implants. Then I asked him if he think it would look good to put the implants in front of the muscle, and he nodded and said "that will look good on you".
So I went with these Sebbin implants, texured, in front of the muscle. 285cc
After the consultation I signed some documents regarding guarantees and that I allowed the hospital to take care of any "body parts" that I might leave behind with them.
I guess that means, that i will NOT have to bring back any body fluids or blood i might loose during the surgery. I am happy the hospital will take care of that for me!
After that I payed, and then it was time to go and see the anesthesiologist (spelling??), and sign a form there too.
Then I was taken to my room where I would spend the night.
There were lots of check ups all the time and i had to answer questions about allergies and medications at least 5 times by different nurses and specialists.
The room was a private room, not a luxury room, but comfortable, clean and it had all i needed at the moment.
Maya was with me all the time and that felt very good!
A nurse came a while later to remove my nail polish and make up.She said it is for safety. When you are having general anesthesia, they need to be able to see your nails clear. The nurse told me the nails change colour if there is a complication during surgery.
Then another nurse put a needle with IV in my hand and I was given a sleeping pill at the same time.
By now I was extremely hungry, so it feelt kind of nice to have the sleeping pill and go to sleep.
The next thing i remember is hearing Dr.Greechart's voice as I woke up. I opened my eyes and saw him and heard him talking but then I went back to sleep again.
Later I woke up in my room feeling hungry again!
I looked down on my chest and suddenly i was side awake!!!! I had new breasts! and they looked like two trafic cones standing out of my chest, and i felt so very heavy.
I did not feel much pain to be honest, more the feeling of pressure, some soreness and a very heavy upperbody!
It was difficult to try to sit up because my body was not used to having something this heavy hanging around in front.
There were also drain tubes coming out from under my arms...and there they were...bottles of body liquid, mostly blood coming from the drain tubes.
I am happy i did not went for the extra painkiller-machine, the you can regulate by your own and it is pumping painkillers into the blood directly.
The pain was not that bad so I could do very well without it.
I went back to sleep rather quickly, because I felt exhausted. The nurses came to check my temperature and blood pressure every hour during the night.
In the morning I had breakfast and a nice representativel from Destination beauty came to visit me and give me a present! Soo sweet!
The nurses came to take off the bandage and there they were....my new trafic-cone breasts. I was stearing at them and they were stearing back at me.
The drain tubes were also removed and the nurses cleansed the wound and put plasters on.
They put a bandage around me but just before I was ready to go they said i could start wearing my sportsbra which felt a lot better.
At lunchtime i took a taxi home. The staff at Yanhee was very trained and they told the taxi driver to drive REALLY gentle. That was very much appreciated.
Bumbing around in a taxi on the streets of Bangkok with recently inserted implants is not something i would recommend.
After i got backhome I stayed in bed most of the day.
Anyway, that is how things went.
Now almost 3 weeks after the surgery, I am very happy with the result. I no longer have two trafic cones. Nowthey both feel and look very soft and natural!
