Whatever happened to business at the hotel? Would think that all the bad press would have killed off business! According to the other paper this morning, Chiang Mai's The Downtown Inn, nicknamed the "Death Hotel" for the multiple unsolved deaths occurring there, is going to be demolished. According to the Building Control Division of Chiang Mai's local administration, The Downtown Inn will be replaced by a new upscale boutique hotel. The Changklan Way Company has requested to tear down The Downtown Inn hotel building and also filed to have a new hotel built on the site.
