Sorry, for posting this in the wrong thread but I just thought it might get a better response here, and I didn't know where else to put it. (As there is no Muslim post - interesting in itself)

coz for muslim , dog is a "dirty" animal
from the rule of mussy - if someone touch dog while 1 his/her body get wet 2 dog get wet 3 both 1 and 2 4 he/she is licked by dog all are Najis (filthy) so that person have to take a shower 7 times ..first time start to shower with water+soil and after that shower with normal water 6 times all are hard and complicate to do, thats why we dont see mussy feed dog BTW , i m not muslim #3Posted 2005-10-29 16:10:27
Well, im not sure if this is exactly right, but a lady I used to work with told me that she once went out with a muslim guy, and he reckoned that if you touched a dog (now this is where im a bit unclear) it did something to stop your passage to heaven, or something along those lines (sorry if im a bit vague - if anyone can elaborate any more)

Bambina is right, a dog, like a pig, is an unclean animal. I see their point, esp after my dog comes back from rolling in some disgusting dead thing it has found. I live in a Muslim village and I would say the locals don't dislike dogs, just don't touch them.

i also live in a muslim neighborhood for now and my landlords (who live right next to me) are muslim. they HATE my puppy. the throw things at her, scream at her, run for their lives when she comes, and i think they even considered kicking me out because of her. but i am moving. it is a big part of the reason why. i feed another dog who comes around, but he is totally gunshy and balks at the slightest movement because he is so used to being mistreated by the people around here.

It's perfectly OK to blow up innocent people however. In fact, you get bonus points with Allah. #8Posted 2005-10-29 20:45:04
Muslims all over the world are doctors, teachers, firemen, artists, etc. Unfortunately the ignorant choose to judge the actions of the worst of them as that of an entire religion.
For every Osama Bin Laden there is an Aga Kahn, etc, you just have to take the time to do a little research and actually gain some knowlage of people before casting judgement. Terrorists come in all kinds of races, religions, and nationalities, yet we don't judge all catholics for the IRA, or all hispanics for the Columbian terrorists who have killed far more people than Al Quada. I think we need to put a little more thought into these things before we jump on any ill-informed bandwagons. cv |
