I am an Australian working for my Australian employer in Bangkok for a number of months (probably 6) but am currently travelling back to Sydney once a month.
I am have only been getting single entry B visa's (as I was informed I needed to show 6 booked flights to get a multi in Sydney - I believe this has been relaxed now) and was wondering if I am able to apply for a Multi Entry from Bangkok or do I have to be out of the country when I apply ?

You can apply for an extension of stay in Bangkok if you meet the work permit/income requirements but not for a multi entry visa. The extension of stay is normally for one year and for travel would require re-entry permit of the multi entry type.
The multi entry B visa would only be available from a Royal Thai Consulate outside of Thailand. #3Posted 2005-11-04 15:23:37

I have a 12 month multi entry "B" visa obtained in Melbourne Royal Thai Consulate. Didn't seem to be any problem. I rarely have a return ticket to anywhere but tend to travel at least monthly to other ports in SE Asia.
