I am well under 50 YO (retirement age for T), & was aware that one could stay in Thailand for 90days maximium before they then had to return to their home country ie the UK. This i also believe would include 2 visa runs after your typical 30day typical initial tourist stamp.
But having just visited T, & after talking to a few locals, i was advised that after this 90 days was up you just leave the country again, to get another visa stamp for say another 30days.?!
What are your views one this matter? Where could I find out more information about this matter, I did try looking on here briefly…. & also what about visa cost if I was to consider living here full time, if I had to leave the country every 30days to get a new stamp?

If you qualify you can get a 90 day Non IMM multiple entry visa.
This will enable you to stay nearly 15 months with a border visit needed every 90 days. #3Posted 2005-11-07 20:02:22
Some interesting information here comparing one year ( exit and re-enter just before the 12 month expiration and get another 90 days, the 15 month thing) multiple entry non-immigrant B, 30-day visa runs, and Tourist visas.
