Hi All, I rang the consulate Tues last to ask if a single entery tourist visa is issued in 1 day or how long it takes, not much help all i could get is "bring passport 2 photo and $45.00" ha ha, yes i know that but how long does it take to be issued, aii i could get is bring passport etc etc. has anyone any idea of the time frame please, is it 1 day, a couple of days??

I remember when I did mine in Sydney, I went there early AM and hardly considered it. They said come back in two days. When I did I saw the visa was issued on the day before, so it probably could have been one day.
Then again mine was an o-type. At best, same day, at the very worst I would think two days. Probably not much help. Can you do it by post? #3Posted 2011-10-16 16:54:40
Its been a few years for me but last time I grabbed a tourist from Brisbane it was issued on the spot.

I obtained a multi entry non O visa in August from Brisbane.Took one hour to issue.

When I used to get them from Brisbane I used to wait and read the newspaper.

Many thanks everybody, will fire off an email now and see what comes back, I just didd'nt want to do a 1hr trip either way on the train just to find out is all...Cheers

I have just received a repy to my email from the Consulate here in Brisbane, appers it is only a matter of going in and waiting while they process it the on the way, thanks for the helpful replies........

I went for my Visa this morning, in and out under 1hr, all in all good job and the girls were plesent and helpfull.......

Yes, by registered mail if you live in Qld. Takes 5 working days in total.
Return registered mail envelope with your address. Passport. Visa application form correctly filled in with the flight number and airline. $45 money order made out to the Royal Thai Consulate, Brisbane. 2 current passport photos. |
