Hi all, just thinking aloud here. I have a limited Thai partnership rubber company in rural Issan near the Lao border, close to the Emerald triangle on the 2248. Our small rubber factory is on 10 rai of charrote land with national industrial zoning. There is a 30 kilowatt transformer on site for electricity, one small dam and electric water pump and well. The place can be viewed on you tube, My name and issan will find the Chanel.
So here's the pitch, if anyone has an idea for some sort of business that can be done here, I will allow them to set up on a profit sharing basis. No key money, no rent, no profit and I get nothing. I will assist who ever in setting up shop, as I no the ropes around here. Labor, building materials etc.
We only use a small area for the rubber processing, leaving around 6 rai of unused land. Some of the things I have looked at that may work are, hydroponics, hardware and fertilizer store, a proper motor garage [diesel mechanic] small backpacker resort ,egg laying chickens, furniture maker or steel fabricator. This area is very poorly serviced, but with the coming of rubber there is a lot of money coming in to the district and the nearest real town Ubon is 140 km away.
If anyone is interested PM me with your ideas. Jim
