#26Posted 2012-01-09 21:28:51 The shoppers were revolting in HK the other day . They were discriminated against by D&G for taking photographs outside of their shop . #27Posted 2012-01-15 02:16:03
Milan Station in HK sells only real stuff, both new and used. I buy Hermes Birkin bags (new) for my girlfriend there from time to time and for that you have to pay more because it's impossible to order them now in Hermes stores (some stores in some countries will still take your order but there's gonna be a lot of waiting...a year or two for sure). I have no experience with other brands but you can check it out when you get there and compare their prices with what you'd pay at home. In mainland China it's still 30-40% more expensive then in HK so I wouldn't go to China on a shopping trip...HK used to be cheaper too but since a lot of mainlanders are now buying stuff in HK they are charging more... Milan Station has several locations around HK, the most convenient place to go is Tsim Sha Tsui where there are 3 stores pretty close to each other. http://www.milanstat...en/location.asp Many thanks...will hopefully be in HK in May We're looking at a couple of hotels, are these nearby, any good? http://hongkong.lang...lacehotels.com/ http://www.hotel-icon.com/ RAZZ Edited by RAZZELL, 2012-01-15 02:29:03. #28Posted 2012-01-15 02:19:42
Hello Mr. & Mrs. Razz, I'm absolutely addicted to Coach bags. Being there's only one outlet in Bangkok for these and - because they're imports - the bags are even more expensive than buying them in the States. So I've simply been shopping on eBay. I can spend hours searching for the exact bag I want, and then have fun shopping for matching wallets, passport covers, sunglass cases, you name it! New, used, it's all there to choose from, and a lot cheaper. Only downside is that not all sellers will ship international. For me it's no problem, because I have someone in the States receive packages for me and then forward them on to me. WaatWang The wife works for Coach RAZZ #29Posted 2012-01-15 12:50:19
For what it's worth, I made it a point to compare the cheap fake handbags and wallets (Luis Vuitton) I obtained in Thailand with the genuine article in the States...the fake ones are pretty accurate, and it is very difficult to spot the difference. I bought a genuine LV wallet nearly 20 years ago from their shop in Selfridges, Oxford Street (London) It's still serving me well today, The MBK knock Off bags I've bought in the intervening years haven't lasted longer than 6 months at a time, If you don't loose it the genuine is always better value. Having said that if you're a victim to changing fashions it's a bit much to buy the real thing. Sent from my iPad using ThaiVisa app #30Posted 2012-01-15 14:52:27

I'm not sure about Icon (never stayed there) but Langham Place is good. You can also try Sheraton, Hyatt Regency TST and Peninsula (top HK hotel and highly recommended!), they are all good and in that area (Tsim Sha Tsui). I think the price of the other hotels will effect the shopping budget Looking like the Langham Place or Icon... RAZZ #33#34Posted 2012-01-16 22:25:54
