Hello,

Since you people are the experts this topic i tought i will ask you about this issue..Posted Image

I am looking for my son of 8 years old  for an some what laid back Int school..We dont like a to much  competitive school system and over serious atmosphere for little kids.
My son is tri langual he speaks eng/thai /dutch
my Price range is 250.000 baht a year. if higher i will negotiate it,then  i dont  believe in absurd enrollment fees either.
I care for nice kid environment playgrounds, art, music, sports, and yes math english too.
What i found sofar is the Hamptons in nonthaburi but i not sure about that location, then australian school of bkk but it only goes till 8 years old, then i saw rasami Int but i only read bad things about that school on the internet  ..i went to the  city school but they are asking for an 150.000 baht enrollment fee which is outrageous also we went to   inspect the school it was nice and special but still it seems like an big business for me that school.we  felt it was overpriced for the facilities they are offering..

If anyone can reccomend me a nice School in Bkk i would be really open for it..I do like actually system like an Montessori and or waldorf school but it must follow an english curriculum.

Thanks,

Flakes..

I would hope that every school is 'child-friendly'.

I don't think that there are many International School teachers posting or reading this particular forum.  If you google international school Asia forum, you might find more information.

As for recommendations, a friend of mine teaches at St. Andrews in Nonthaburi and it seems to be a decent place.

Which area do you live? This is important as you do not want your child to travel too far.

I started researching Bangkok schools for our baby daughter, and I think you will need to increase your budget slightly. If you spend an extra 50-100k baht/year you will have a very good selection to choose from.
