I am having trouble finding information on how to get the minibus from Krabi Airport to Koh Lanta. Most sites say to ask your hotel to book you a seat as it is always fully booked, cost quoted varies from 250-350B per person. My hotel will only offer an over priced private transfer (3000B!!!). I have also read that you need to get into town to Soi 6 to get the minibus which leaves every hour. Is there anyway of catching one directly from the airport? Do I need to call and book seats or do they stop at a bay at the airport on a regular basis?

no minibus service from airport to Lanta! Easiest way, go to Krabi town and book this minibus from any of the tourist offices. If you do not want to this, then you have no other option than to book a private taxi (which is expensive)

http://www.krabishuttle.com/newsite/ its only 2,800bht for a van or 2,400bht for a car with them otherwise its the bus into Krabi town (about 50bht) and then the van to Lanta

or you can stand at the side of the road outside and you can flag down the mini bus if they are not full as they have to pass the airport on the way to Lanta

This seems like a really round-about or expensive way to get to Lanta.
