Hotel List


1) The Takasila Hotel: Offers 4 star treatment and facilities (no pool). Parking is plentiful but unprotected except for the green sheeting overhead. Very clean, average food, a nice place to stay. Rooms are around 700-1200 baht a night

2) The Takasila Hotel Grand: This hotel is the sister hotel of the Takasila Hotel and is located right next door. It's a step down from the Takasila Hotel (say 3 1/2 stars) but quite satisfactory.
3) New Pattana Hotel: Dining room - same type parking as Taksila Hotel - pretty good rooms - located very near the Takasila hotel Rates are usually around 550 baht.

4) Pattana Hotel - located next to the New Pattana Hotel - it offers less expensive rooms. Often occupied by salespeople etc.
All four of these hotels are within 10 minutes of the bike week site. Easy to find. You probably want to check their website at

One other hotel in town would be the Vasu Hotel. http://www.agoda.com...hasarakham.html

It's about five minutes from the Takasila hotel and 10 minutes from the bike week site. Clean- three and a half stars, around 600-700 baht.


The last hotel would be the "Your Place Hotel" http://www.yourplacehotel.com

It's new and looks like it would offer rooms around 550 to 700 a night. It's located about 5 minutes from the bike week site. I haven't been in there, but if you think it might be worthwhile I can stop in and check the place out for you.



The town has three or four low profile resort type places that usually rent out at around 600-800 a night. They typically don't have restaurants attached, although restaurants can easily be found in Sarakham. Again if you think it's important I can stop in at a couple of them to get more info. To the best of my knowledge there are no underground parking lots in Sarakham.

Anyone know the location of the Nonthaburi Bike week? I'm doing a circuit and including it in my travel plan. I've got two different locations within the city. There are links in Thai on the web but I've not really found them that helpful so far. GPS Coords would be cool!

Yes, it's today the 21st of April .I just found out myself last night.

It's being held at "The Square " Bangyai on the number 9 road, southbound side, the new skytrain is being built there, so that should help a bit.

Yes, made it there last night, it was a really good bike meet, lots of fun and nice people. I heard there's one in my home town of saraburi on the 19th of May so I should find that one easy enough!

Well I found and went to the Saraburi Bike show, it was just on the edge of the town, very easy to find but impossible to find on the web. However with all that said it was one of the best shows I've been too! Well organised and a lot of people which was suprising considering no promotion of the event! However I was amoungst 1 of the 2 only foreigners there! The other being my Dutch biker mate. So if I hear about it again next year I will post where it is so everyone can come along.
