'Ruin the image of Thailand'?! At the end of one of the episodes of Ted Danson's Bored To Death there's always a different song. I've been here a long time but even I had to re-wind to check the first line which goes 'On a ferris wheel on Coney Island you can see more stars than there are prostitutes in Thailand'. This from an American made series and an English band (Magnetic Field, if anyone's interested).

Is this guy being disingenuous or is he merely thick?

It`s the way many in the outside world still see Thailand so the authorities have got their work cut out if they want to portray the country in a more respectable light.

This is not the first time that Thailand is used a backdrop for a porn movie

I can't believe that they start their "Bukake" movies now here in the LOS! It's a shame that they use such an innocent city to produce their porn.

It's all another storm in a teacup as the YouTube file that was being complained about is only 2 minutes 47 seconds of introduction at the beginning of the movie.

But these films can ruin the image of Thailand and the police will coordinate with the ICT ministry to block websites and companies distributing x-rated movies produced in Thailand.

This is a great news report, a very rare one which describes the scenes in a porn movie while appearing to be critical. Wonder if this is a paid report. Great one all the same and one which will only add greatly to the internet traffic flood -- my side included. The least the merciless reporter could have done is to provide the weblink.

Just a worried thought : does this flick also have pixellated censorship like most Japanese adult movies on the net ?

As the trailer above shows, the lady appears to be not Thai, but Japanese.
Then again, the Thai authorities should have no objection because the porn scenes were not shot at the airport (ahem, now wouldn't that have been an achievement).

It is quite possible that not only the image of Thailand as a country of great purity and innocence will be soiled by this incident, but the Thai people could be corrupted by the presence of porn in their country. Perish the thought that people are actually filming sex here. Since there is no sex industry to speak of, the elders, officials, and ministers have to work hard to make sure this does not spread, and give the women of this country any ideas. It could lead to a corruption of the clean spirit and morality of the people, and God forbid, tourists could start coming to Thailand to have sex with the local girls.

When i last bought porn cd's at leaest 7-8 years ago in sukhumvit, or friends bought and i copied from them, at least 50% were filmed in Bangkok in nice hotels rooms, and as introduction a Tuktuk ride or a walk in Sukhumvti Rd. or a park nearby! The label was something like 'Private ..' i forgot.

Same on internet, many pictures and movies made in Thailand one can easy see.They just say something to make themself important and kind of keep face 'innocent', patriotic to their countries innocence and virginity?

From what I've heard that would have been a matter of walking into one of the hair salons in Don Muang. Not sure what is the current status in Swampy.
