Best one in town is Chez Noodles (part of the ELC school) not far from Thong lor- for a 2 and half year old going 3 half days a week it will cost 9,000 USD a year . V pricey, but the learning at Chez Noodles/ELC is really equal to any of the worlds top kindergarden/schools in the world

One would think for 9000USD Kindergarten annual fees Chez Noodles (part of the ELC school) could have a better web site?

Anyone who pays $9,000 for kindergarten, has zero common sense...
Most of the English programs advertised at schools in Thailand are just that, advertisements. They have zero substance, and avoid most of the advice on this forum. I really got a good laugh at this... The quote below should tell you all you need to know.. "equal to any of the worlds top kindergarden/schools in the world " Sorry I was unable to help. I will be in the same boat in a few years... Edited by Newguy70, 2012-02-11 11:44:39. #6Posted 2012-02-15 13:36:28

If you are looking for the "best" thing for a 2/12 year old then ALL research points to being at home with a primary carer (doesn't have to be mum or Dad can be aunt/granparent/nanny).
If you are also looking for "cheap" then paying for a carer to look after your little one each day and offer a variety or book time, table time, art, music, outings etc will be far cheaper than a 9kUSD per year "school". You could enrol your child in a playgroup a couple of times per week that the carer takes them to. This will give them the socialisation of mixing with peers without the traumatic upheaval of leaving their mum/dad/carer. You could also double up with a friends child and your kids share one carer for a few hours each day. This will lower the cost and add another dimension for your child. Children do not form social bonds until on average 3years 4 months upwards. Some DO want to create friends at age 3 but most kids reach 3 and a half before this happens. At 2 1/2 your child will just play alongside others without actually forming a bond and interacting with the other children. #8Posted 2012-02-18 08:44:32
There is a little school called Baan Rak which is a Steiner school. It is just off Rama 4 around the old Carefore going towards thonglor.
Cheap as chips the school is Thai language instructed but quite popular with the Japanese expat community. We sent our daughter there and very happy with the play centred approach. When I say cheap as chips, I'm talking a couple of hundred baht per day. #9Posted 2012-02-20 20:32:15

If you buy cheap you get cheap. I just finished off a semester at a school in that area where I saw the K-1's take stinging blows to the head from the Thai teachers for the grievous offense of starting to color on a page before the instructions were given out. Don't be cheap with your child's well being.
