How would you say "What did you expect?! in Thai in this context?


A: The murderer paid the police and the charge was dropped.

B:  What did you expect?!

Kaat (wang) arai.

That means "what do you predict (hope) for?"

There isn't really a Thai phrase for "what did you expect", so you have to go round the houses a bit by saying "laew khun kid wa arai ja gert-khuen la?" = well what did you think would happen?
