Hi there,

We have recently undertaken sponsorship of the golf foum here at Thaivisa.com and would like to take this opportunity to say hello to everyone!

About Solar Golf
We have been running golf tours around Thailand for about 10 years now from our base in Pattaya. We play golf as well as run the tours and you will often find at least one of us playing on the day. Our secret of running a successful golf day is to handle all aspects - transport, fees, tee times and to provide a thoroughly enjoyable day out.

Upcoming Events
Here are our upcoming golf days in Pattaya. We are also running the annual Tara Court Cup between the 14th and 16th of February if anyone around Pattaya is interested in playing (a good prize is on offer!). We will be sure to update this thread with any upcoming events and if you have any questions please feel free to ask here or send a PM.

I'm assuming the fees on your website are inclusive of transport, green and caddy fees (excluding caddy tip)?

What if a player is a member of Pattaya Sports Club and entitled to a discount at the course, do you provide a correponding discount to your fee?

This is correct but it also includes cart rental (one per cart or sharing where allowed)

Unfortunately the Pattaya Sports Club discount can only be applied when golfers book directly with the course. As tour operators we are unable to apply the sports club discount to our green fee rates.

Schedule for this weeks golf around Pattaya:

Wednesday 1st February – Burapha - pick up & Tee time TBC - (2800THB)
Thursday 2nd February - Siam Plantation 13:38 tee off - Pick up from 12:15, 2 spaces (5000THB)
Saturday 4th February – Laem Chabang 11:42 tee off - Pick up from 10:15 (4800THB)

Friday is open for suggestions if anyone wants to play any other course around Pattaya.

If anyone wants a trip away from Pattaya this coming weekend - we are running a trip to Soi Dao, which is around 3-4 hours from Pattaya and features a great 18 hole golf course - http://www.soidaohighland.com/. Full details on the trip are available at http://www.solargolf...rip-to-soi-dao/ but the short version is 2 nights 3-4 rounds of golf (your choice - extra round just requires cart and caddy payment) for 9500 THB per person (2 sharing a room), approx 12,200 THB for single golfers.

Price includes transport, accommodation, Green Fees, Caddy fees (except for optional extra round), Golf Carts (except for optional extra round) and the food on Saturday night. Let us know if you want more info...
