Hi,
Can anyone point in me the direction for getting an Apple itunes ID so my girlfriend's iphone 4s can download free apps from the app store without having to register a credit card?
I presume/hope there must be a way?
Many thanks,
Tom.

Choose a free app and proceed as per normal to create a new account.
At the registration you will have the payment option of None and this will get you your free acoount. #3Posted 2012-01-25 11:20:15
As the previous poster explained, you can easily get a free iTunes store account with only an email address (and a physical address ... which doesn't necessarily need to be entirely accurate).
You can have multiple iTunes accounts in multiple iTunes country stores. For example I have an iTunes account in the Thailand iTunes store and also have another iTunes account in the US iTunes store. If you want to buy Apps in the iTune store without using your credit card (I also don't use my credit card), after you set up your free iTunes store accounts in your countries of choice, you can add money (or "credit") to it using iTunes gift cards or iTunes credit cards (these have a fixed amount of credit ... like $25 or $50 or $100) but these unfortunately are not readily unavailable in Thailand (maybe they have at MBK?). In the US (Europe?) you can buy these iTunes credit cards at bookshops and pharmacies etc. I buy mine using eBay (with requires a credit card or a PayPal account). A lot of people are afraid of using eBay but I use PayPal and stick to buying from the "Top-Rated Sellers" and have never had any problems. If you want a 25$ credit for your iTunes account, these guys will go across the street and buy one at the local bookstore and then sell it to you for 26 or 27$ or whatever. They usually will offer to scrape the card (to reveal the card code number) and send the number to you via email, so you can deposit the amount in your iTunes account immediately. I use this method to keep a iTunes credit balance in my iTunes account and to buy Apps from the US iTunes store. There may be an easier way ... but this works for me. |
