Weather has not been good in Phang Nha this season. Anyone know if the sea has calmed down or if the winds have ceased?

Saw that lightening Phang-Nga way last night, thought we might get a little rain in Phuket, but no, didn't make it.

OP weather now definitely high season, calm waters. I was on the beach yesterday, green glass for water, spoke to a friend in Railei, Krabi, she said same-same.

My kite boarding buddies use windguru dot com, so for real weather watching you might jet off for there.

Most likely a good weather time of year, but when asking on a forum for people to predict the future................well...............next question is which lotto numbers will come up next week? I'm sure a lot of poster's Thai wives will have interest.

Who knows the weather in early to mid of March ? Diligent people please respond. It's dry season, but we had some heavy rain tonight in Ao Nang past 10:00 pm. It lasted for approx 20 Min only. I went to Ao Luek early morning and we had heavy downpour on the return after lunch. But 5 km later the sun was shining again.

I was simply looking for a rough prediction based on what the weather has been like in general this season and more specifically, last few days/weeks.

I ask becasue I will be camping, not hanging out in some dopey tourist town or under an umbrella on a crappy beach sipping some fruity drink.

Daytime rains generally do not bode well,

And this makes it more valid for you to ask people to predict the weather as opposed to going to windguru.com (?) or looking at current weather maps online?

Excuse me while I go grab a beer and enjoy it under an umbrella on a nice beach.....................

I find that anything on the internet basically is worthless - and that includes the national thai site.

Yes, indeed. I will take an expats experience + hunch over even the Thai weather service.

Thus posting your "can you predict the future" question on a forum on the internet...................sharp as a marble !
