Just a bit of an update on the show. Apparently AP Honda has something special planned and they don't want dealers to have booths at the show. We will still be at booths Z23 and Z24, but we will be going by the name of our riding club. Just look for the CBR 250 Nonthaburi banner. The modified CBRs will be on display inside on the second floor. We hope to see you all there. Thanks.

Wow, the Bangkok Bike Festival just keeps getting bigger and better!

While a few brands were noticeably missing, there were also some new brands making a first appearance as well as an ever growing list of vendors, so definitely worth a visit.

Kunka is now selling MV Augusta in Thailand! Check out the stunning F4 RR:
Posted Image

This one is already sold but you can put your name on a list and eventually get one for only 1.6 million Baht! Posted Image
They will also be selling the "regular" F4 for just 1.1 million and the Brutale in a few different flavors but I can't remember the prices.

As reported earlier, Honda is FINALLY going to sell some big bikes in Thailand!
Posted Image

The 1800cc Goldwing, aka, the Honda Land Yacht Posted Image Expect to pay about a thousand baht per cc Posted Image

The CBR1000RR. NICE!
Posted Image

Those stupid NC700 atrocities... Posted Image
Posted Image

The VFR1200 looks more like a spaceship than a motorcycle IMO...
Posted Image
I'm really not happy with the way Honda has lost track of what made the original VFR 750 and 800 the top rated sport touring bikes for year after year after year...

And there's the 250cc Honda dirtbike which isn't cheap, but I am told is top of the class in that category.
Posted Image

In other exciting news, Royal Enfields are now available in Thailand!
Posted Image
Pretty pricey for what you get... The 350cc Bullet above goes for 330k Baht, but the sales rep said something about having them assembled in Thailand in which case the price could be as low as 140k Baht.

There is also the "Classic 500" which doesn't cost much more than the Bullet:

Nicely blinged Kawasaki Z1000
Posted Image
And Z1000 eye candy
Posted Image

The KTM display was impressive- more and more models now available in Thailand-
Posted Image

Love the styling of the KTM RC8R!
Posted Image

Yamaha's new Super Tenere looks like a beast of an adventure bike!
Posted Image

Yamaha pretty with FJR1300
Posted Image

Aprilia RSV4 Posted Image
Posted Image

There is A LOT to see and the place was mobbed! What a turnout for a Wednesday night! I must confess that I completely missed the Kawasaki, Suzuki and HD displays, so I'll head back in the next day or two to continue exploring!

Happy Trailss!

Tony

Thx for the report Tony! Some serious bike porn there... man, a RE Bullet for 140k would fly off the shelves... MV Augusta... yum! Too bad Ducati was/is missing - too busy making bikes at the moment, I guess...

thanks for the photos.
i rode Enfield in India when i was travelling there. Nostalgia. What a potter. You need to tighten up the screws every 3000 km:))) otherwise you might drop some part while riding. And do not expect to see something from the mirrors. Still it was fun and torquey.
I should be interested on it if they can sell it for 140,000.
I need something classic for commuting to my work only on Fridays and Saturdays  - which is a casual day for us - as i am climbing the corporate steps and my boss is complaining that my bikes are too sporty for a director!!! - a cbr 250 is too sporty ?? :)) don't make me laugh -
buy a car and grow up man, he says:))) they make it nearly mandatory for me to buy either a car or a classic bike. which in that case of course a classic bike although i do not like it too much. still i prefer to die than riding a chopper kind of bike so Enfield is still fine.

I am excited to see the bike show this Saturday.

I don't think an Enfield will make your boss happy. You will certainly get your hands dirty on such a bike. If you think about an Enfield you should maybe better change your job. Your boss may meant you should get a BMW or an other status symbol. I am happy i do not need to care about such things. I can go on dreaming of an Enfield. But only if they are sold below 200k. For 140,000 Baht i would buy one for sure and then reassemble it on my own to be sure all screws are tigthten properly Posted Image
