Is diiang (falling tone) considered impolite? It seems to be a colloquial word with various uses, including (of a person) exhausted and (of a machine) broken. If I yawned and said "diiang!" or looked at my mobile phone and said "diiang!" would that be considered impolite? It sounds like the Thai equivalent of words like "knackered" or "screwed". I'm just wondering where on the politeness scale it falls.
