Hi,
Anyone can recommend a day trip to Myanmar from Mae Sai border? Did enter from Mae Sai once but not very impressed.

But this time I heard that we can hire a tuk tuk from Thailand side for around 300 baht for a day trip, but I got no idea whAt type of trip? Anyone can advise and recommend?

There's quite a few touts offering tours (and other things) when you leave Myanmar immigration, it's hard not to run into them.
They have brochures showing what appears to be temples etc. I'm sure they would be only too pleased to organise a day tour and the price would definitely be negotiable.

We'd be pleased to hear how you go, just so we can reccomend it to others or even give it a try personally.

It is my understanding that there is a tour company at Mae Sai that provides mini-buses (10 seaters). It charges 2000baht for the bus, so the more people the cheaper the price. The mini-bus crosses over into Tachilek and takes you to 5 destinations, Temples, market etc. I don't have an address for the company but my wife has a phone number for them. If anybody wants that number then PM me.
We haven't used this service yet, but we will. When my wife enquired she managed to discount the price to 1800baht.

Hope you find this information helpful.

Cheers

Will be driving to Mae Sai from CM. And wanting to cross the border and go "deeper" in Myanmar.

Go deeper? like kyine tone(4hrs from boarder)?

1800thb for a city tour? That's hellava expensive. oh well, you get aircon car and sit comfortably. Rent a motor bike and go around yourself. a few hundred dollar

No I think he is saying a 10 seater bus for 1800 baht. Do you think tourists can rent a motorbike ride it in Myanmar? And what other attractions nearby while crossing in the Border from Mae Sai ?

You may like to go Shwe Dagon Pagoda(a copied version of Yangon), A kha village and 2nd friendship bridge for some street food, and the market just next to immigration.Drive further down abt 30mins and you will get to tachilek airport. I don't see why you cannot rent a motor bike by leaving your pass there. Hit me up if you need any help
