I know I should be gloating, but I can't.
Is this a different test match from the one they were playing this morning?

Former England captain Geoffrey Boycott has described England's performance in the 72-run Test defeat by Pakistan as one of the worst he has ever witnessed.
For once - the first time since the 2005 Ashes - I was looking forward to an England win, and they snatch not only defeat, but abject humiliation from the jaws of victory.
Obviously, as a Scot, that is water off a duck's back, but I feel robbed of a vicarious victory by our neighbours...

I happened to catch the Malaysia - Guernsey one-day highlights (possibly an oxymoron); Malaysia posted a target of 209.
It didn't look good for Guernsey at 2 for 2, and not much better at 40 for four. With seven wickets gone for 65, it looked bleak; at 7 for 109, it looked like Guernsey had salvaged a little respectability; but an unbeaten 82 from the wicket keeper at no. 8 saw Guernsey win Division Six with a wicket and three balls to spare. It was only when I was checking the facts on line that I noticed this was back in September... no wonder I'd seen so little hype about town SC |
