It doesn't matter if I copy and paste or type using the Thai keyboard, it comes up as identical squares.

I have a Mac which was purchased in Thailand and has a Thai keyboard and fonts installed.

Please help.

@Shoeboat,

I just tried it and had no problem. You have to do a couple of things.

In your System Preferences, in the Languages & Text tab you have to activate the Thai entry. You then have to activate theThai keyboard when you start to add text in Photoshop. Command-Space switches between Thai and English.

In the Text layer in Photoshop, you have to select a Thai font to use. The one I tried was Krungthep. Was able to add Thai text with no problem. If you don't have a Thai font on your computer (I am pretty sure Macs have one built in), you can find them on the Internet.

As an experiment, I left the Thai keyboard selected and switched to a Western font in the text layer and all I got was the squares.

Hope that helps

David
