Sounds a bit arrogant don't you think? These days, the poorest access to health care in the western world, among the highest incarceration rates in the entire world, massive unemployment, economic inequality worse than Thailand ... I could go on. Best to see things clearly.

Gawd...and there was me about to book my very first trip to the US...a few days in New York.

You must go. It's a wonderful country and the people are really great. They're a bit like beer. Great where it's brewed but some of it doesn't travel too well
