any one knows any used bicycle shops or spare part shops around in chang phueak? preferably not too far as i will be pushing my bicycle there.

parked my bicycle in tanin market and came back seeing my rims, brake calipers and lever in bad shape, ouch.

my current bike is turbo brand bought from lotus, abit pricey at 5k but i doubt its worthwhile to fix my bike up unless im able to source for used parts, so most likely i would be settling down another bike. i seen old style roadies with big rims, looking pretty cool fast, any places i could source them out? would love to do up those stuff

if im looking at better brands, any places to look around? im keen at giant. the suspensions on turbo are almost for eye candy only

Chiang Mai has several good bike shops complete with parts and service, as well as any number of places that sell bikes (with no repair service on site).  The following link is a rather comprehensive directory of bike shops in Chiang Mai and other major cities in Thailand: http://bicyclethaila...om/bike-stores/

There's an OK bike shop on Chang Puek Road, run by an older Thai-Chinese guy who seems knowledgeable, is helpful and does repairs too.  From Chang Puek Gate head North, it's on the left after about 250-300M, a bit before the bridge over a small klong.

My first bike here was about 5K from Tesco Lotus; fell apart within six months Posted Image  Most annoying was a lot of the parts were non standard so it was difficult to fix.Posted Image
