What's the correct way to put a 45 degree bend/curve in the yellow PVC conduit without using connectors ? I'm assuming using a cig lighter isn't the way to go. Is there some kind of tool to use ? Thanks.

In the UK we would use a spring that goes inside, and then you slowly and gradually bend it around your knee.

Seen here, that they put a series of cuts in the pipe to get the radius

I've seen it done in the UK by filling it with air, sometimes sand this eliminates the pipe pinching or creasing,I believe they used a paint striping gun to heat it,have a wet rag at hand also to cool the plastic down.

You can buy the spring at electrical supply stores here in Thailand. We bought ours in Nang Rong, Buriram. The thai electrican warmed the conduit over a gas stove

Torch but not the kind you refer to in Britain that is commonly called a flash light but a REAL one propane or a stove as mentioned above and gradually heat it while bending it.. Pull it gently while heating it evenly but mostly on the side in which you wish it to bend over a length about 6 to 7 inches.. Not enough and it will either break, collapse or bend too sharply so be prepared to give it a few tries by practicing first.

I forgot to mention, no spring or other support needed if you pull and turn it evenly without twisting and then cool to set it quickly by submerging it in water while holding it in place..
