Does anyone know a good tax accountant in Bangkok who can help me with my Thai taxes?
Also, does anyone know how much one is expected to pay in order to qualify to extend a work permit? I am here on a journalist visa.

Yes, Balance Figure Accounting -- Khun Dunlawan Sakuldee is the Principal. She is a Thai CPA and I have been using her for years. She is located in the Latprakao section of BKK. Let me know if you want her contact info.
