Quite atmosphere....soft [not rickus] music stylings.
Decent looking ladies. Perhaps, an area to people watch. Not too dark or maudlin appearing. Not geared for Farang or their presence. #7Posted 2012-02-01 19:49:50

What attracts me to a bar
1) Live Thai band (Thai songs only) 2) Plenty of young serving girls (filling glasses and chatting, not for hire) 3) Cheap beer (3 big ones for 150 tops) What stops me going to a bar 1) John Denver and Eagles songs 2) Ugly aging whores, too lazy to fill the glasses and scrounging drinks 3) Beer at 80bht a bottle. If you didn't notice I've just described the difference between a Thai bar and a Farang bar. #10Posted 2012-02-01 20:52:55

On the contrary - your descriptions of comparative stereotyped establishments could easily be interchanged. No textbook standards should apply......or you've had limited exposure. #11Posted 2012-02-01 21:08:40

Football on the tv, pool table and pretty, friendly girls serving (not for "renting"). Not too bothered about farang food in a bar unless it's reasonably priced, which it rarely is.

Free bar snackies.

For my vote a farang bar that is less then 130 odd km away would be a winner. Jim
