Noticed over last weekend that there's a new bus station near the immigration office in Nathon, a bit further down the road on the right hand side, just before the electricity company building.

Construction seems to be completed, anybody when it will open and which companies will use it and where will that leave the informal bus terminal at the entrance of Nathon, when coming from Maenam, opposite the Seatran car park/ticket booth.

Saw it the other day and thought it rather odd. Samui is too small for people to need to get a bus in order to get another one. If it's aimed at people who come of the boat then they will need to get there by some means anyway. Good idea for the VIP coaches which go to BKK over night but how many of them are there these days?

I'm not very knowledgeable about bus companies, but isn't there the government ones & then others?
That one at the entry of Nathon does not look like a stop gap to me.
