TV,

I like the Moo Gaa ta s.  Really great value.  I know your not gonna get the best quality food considering the price, but I would like to think that it's safe to eat in such places.  Awhile back I had heard that they put borax?  into the meat. How true is this and how would it be if you at meats laced with that stuff?  Or should I become a vegan?

I have no idea whether they add borax or not, but it's used in some Asian cuisines because it changes the texture of the food - firms it up.  It's also used as a food additive in Europe where it's referred to as E285 on food labels.  That would suggest to me that it's safe if (like all things) eaten in moderation.
