A shop named Supercheap opened here about 6 months ago. It is on Kaew Nawarat Rd on the left just after the bus station Soi and 50m before the Superhighway intersection. May not be related to the Phuket operation as this store seems to have only electronics, appliances and motorbikes.

Absolute terrible service and rude staff. Will never step foot in the place again. surprised ro read that. Supercheap is hugely popular on Phuket Island. Great prices, well staffed shops. So popular that they have opened many 7/11 style shop all over the island. #7Posted 2012-02-03 16:18:52
Is this thailand's attempt to the US model of 99 cent stores? Doesn't quite sound like it, as in 99 cent store, nothing is over 99 cents... OTOH... in some areas of california, they are now being undersold by 98, 97 and i even saw a 96 cent store in October ! hahahah... talk about rude staff and terrible products... it was a huge warehouse and i got a headache from all the DDT smell (well, some pesticide) throughout the whole builidng...saw some rats scuttling about and i headed for the nearest exit...
