Flash floods cause traffic chaos around Pattaya

PATTAYA:-- Unseasonal heavy rain hit Pattaya on Thursday Afternoon and into the evening causing the usual chaos as poorly maintained drains failed to cope with the sudden influx of rainwater.

The usual areas suffered from flash flooding including the Sukhumvit Road where extra police were deployed to assist motorists through the areas which were under as much as 1 meter of water which led to traffic chaos for a time until the water eventually drained away.

^ Yep tunnels are the only way to go in very heavy rains like we get here!
