If he realy is on a multiple non-O visa, he doesn't do a 90 day report. He must leave the country on day 90 and can re-enter again as long as the visa is valid, unless he has applied for an extension of stay.
Only when on an extension of stay for 1 year does he report his address to immigration every 90 days. #3Posted 2012-02-03 22:11:12
Wow, so a one year visa holder has to do a border run every 90 days in order to kick in another 90 day stay, and only if they are on an extension of stay, for whatever reason, with whatever requirements (retired with 800,000 or etc etc). only then does 90 day reporting work for remaining continuously in country for a stay longer than 90 days. Am I understanding this correctly?
Thanks tg #4Posted 2012-02-03 23:11:06

An extension of stay is different. I'll let someone else explain. I will say, based on what i've read here, 1year multiple entry visa is much more straigtforward to acquire than 1 year extension of stay, with multiple re-entry permits. There is an immigration office in Khon Kaen.
It's on Mittraphap Highway, about 200 meters North of the KK University entrance, on the East side of the road. #7Posted 2012-02-04 01:13:32

KK Immigration Office is in the Police Training School.
Coming from KK if you see the new Tesco you have gone too far and need a U Turn. Coming from Udon direction if you see the University entrance you have gone too far and need to do a U Turn. #9Posted 2012-02-05 17:50:57
Google Maps does not seem to show the Police Training School in Khon Kaen. Is my marker in the correct place?

Whilst on the subject of KK Immigration;
Can anyone help with info as to if they will process a Reirement Extension outside of the 30 day pre expiry, say around 40 days early? I'm out of country at present. Tad more info, if I may; I've just renewed my Oz Passport as it is almost full and am in Australia. My former Passport has one valid re-entry, with current extension expiring on April 7 which I will use to enter the kingdom on February 26. I need to leave and re-enter the kingdom twice after Feb 26 and prior to April 7, so I was hoping in "early March" to do my new Retirement Extension together with a new Multiple Re-entry Permit! Hope I'm not running myself or anyone else around in circles! Edited by fishhooks, 2012-02-06 16:33:57. #11Posted 2012-02-20 17:39:17
Hi, had to get a triple entry tourist visa this year (the rules having changed), so would like to extend by 30 days on my first 60 day entry stamp. Can this be done in Khon Kaen office? and where is it? Didn't even know it existed.....kkmoid
