Is there a way to subscribe one-time-event for the Game to be seen on one's cable? True is my service provider. The game will apparently be broadcast on True Vision, ch. 61, but I don't know whether all True cable customers could gain access. If I find a way, I'll post it here....

If you have Samui Cable the game is being shown live on AstroSport 2 , program starts 6am

If you have a high speed ADSL, I can recommend a free website, with HD quality, I watch all live sports on there, no lagging, no registration etc. You do need a good speed though. PM if you want the site name.

Watching any big game home alone sucks. Two years ago I went to Catcandoo with a friend and we were the only two there. Nice of them to show it, but with just two of us it kinda sucked, but still much better than watching it home alone.

slightly of topic but still about football, I found a site you can download all EPL. La Liga, bundesliga and cup matches a few hours after the match has been played, good if you don't fancy staying up until 3 am and don't have cable or recorder. Takes about 3 hours to download, limited to about 50KB/s. only download 1 half at a time. You do have to register but no spam or other hidden stuff just email and password.
Pm if you want the site #11Posted 2012-02-07 06:30:52
Pfft can pm me for a free live link to most Premiership games..if your connection is good enough.

Pfft can pm me for a free live link to most Premiership games..if your connection is good enough. No sh*t, as I mention further up the thread. The post you have quoted, if you read correctly doesn't mention live stream it says download the match, that's actually a file in avi format post live match, very shortly after the match has been played, with good pic quality. I posted to offer an option to those that don't have cable and have better things to do than stay up all night watching late kickoff's or perhaps a slow connection and cannot watch live streams without continuous lagging. #13Posted 2012-02-07 14:28:43

Quote slightly of topic but still about football, I found a site you can download all EPL. La Liga, bundesliga and cup matches.... Still about soccer, you mean? Thanks to Charles Wreford-Brown, if you'd like to use the slang word for football, then yes I am. don't forget to PM me though, only want to share the great fortune bestowed upon my endless search for free downloadable "soccer" I will now discontinue my off topic hijacking of this thread. apologies mods #17Posted 2012-02-07 20:29:04

Nice of them to show it, but with just two of us it kinda sucked, but still much better than watching it home alone. I am home alone watching the big game and love it. I watched at home too and it wasn't bad. Mainly because I bought a 55" TV for the occasion. It will be returned for a refund shortly. #18Posted 2012-02-10 19:06:08

I would imagine that if someone else were to do this to you , you would be complaining on TV about being scammed and how terrible the Samui people are! Do you also go into restaurants and bars and then 'change your mind' after eating/drinking? Sorry, but you have crawled your way up to the level of taxi driver, jet ski scammer. Rooo - sorry if this post breaks rules, but surely khoheesti is bordering on the illegal here? #20Posted 2012-02-11 08:50:30
man, all this time i thought i was gaming the system by using and returning all of my track suits, nike's and baseball caps.
this opens up a whole new world of opportunities for me. it's like a brand new day has dawned, all over again. #21Posted 2012-02-11 10:54:09

Rooo - sorry if this post breaks rules, but surely khoheesti is bordering on the illegal here? Your ignorance is not reason enough for me to test the boundaries of Roo's patience. But no, returning the TV is not "cheating". Stores are aware this happens and don't have a real problem with it. Enough people end up keeping the thing or buying a new (but cheaper) one anyway as a result of "test driving" a big screen. After spending a few days watching a big TV, going back to the small one is tough. In my specific case, I'm staying with a friend at his place. It's big (about 700m2) but he has a cheap, off-brand 32" flat screen that was made before HD was big. Maybe that's why he doesn't watch a lot of TV. He called when I was shopping for one and said to get the 55" because if he likes it, he might buy it from me (yeah, right). Not bad, only $907, with Internet and even 3D. Anyway, after I explained that the picture isn't sharp because he doesn't have an HD receiver for his satellite, he ordered one. The sound sucks and now he's looking at sound bar speakers to go with it. So even if I take mine back, he'll likely buy another one anyway. It is for his house after all. I'll have to check into getting a commission from Walmart. #22Posted 2012-02-11 10:55:10

Funny this should be about TVs. Where'd you get your last one before you went for the flat screen? ) #23Posted 2012-02-11 14:47:56

It will be returned for a refund shortly" is not the same as telling the shop that you plan to 'test drive' one of their TV's. Did you ask the store if they have a problem with it? I take it that this did not happen in Thailand. Ignorant about life in the US (Walmart?) - sure; and long may I remain so. I thought that this was a Koh Samui forum. Sorry for wasting your time. #24Posted 2012-02-11 22:16:34

You're in luck - maccaroni man posted that you can do the same in Thailand! So get on your scooter and go to Home Pro and grab one for yourself. Just make sure it isn't so heavy that your g-f drops it after the first bump. If anyone there gives you any grief, do what any good taxi driver would do and stab them for questioning you. Or, like a good jetski boy get some of your friends together and kick the crap out of them. After all, there is no difference between those violent thugs and someone who buys a TV then returns it fully in line with the store's return policy - right?. On a more serious note, I can't believe you would make that comparison in the first place. I know you've lived there long enough not to be so ignorant so maybe it was just the Sang Som talking. #25Posted 2012-02-12 05:14:09
