Romeo and Juliet




Celebrated violin soloist Koh Gabriel Kameda joins TPO and Maestro Gudni Emilsson to perform Galzunov’s Violin Concerto in A minor in what will certainly be a special event. The concert concludes with the performance of Prokofiev’s emotionally stirring work, Romeo and Juliet.

Also, on Friday, January 17th, the Goethe Institute of Thailand (The German Cultural Promotion Organization) will present TPO with 4 Rotary Valve trumpets.  These trumpets are used with many of the Romantic/Germanic works and TPO is so lucky that Goethe supports our mission to create classical music as the highest level in Thailand.  Hope you can come!

Second half of the concert features the iconic Prokofiev Romeo and Juliet Suite 2.  The theme from the first section became the unofficial "Soviet" theme for decades - wonderful work!
