I've got a problem with my Internet connection at the moment but once it is back to normal I'll add a link to the map in the pinned topic.

Quite astonished to read about "Khon Kaen International Airport" / "Immigration Checkpoint".
Theoretically?

For the last seven years.  Immigration is available on request.

What is the difference between "Provincial Immigration" and "Immigration Checkpoint" at the borders?

Like what is the difference between Kap Choeng and Aranyaprathet?

Believe the provincial will be the office taking care of extensions and 90 day reporting for the indicated area.  Checkpoints would be border/air/sea ports for entry/exit activities.

Nope, both are at the border, but with different color code.

Both offices can be at or near the border but do very different functions.  I know Nong Khai is one such location where the immigration office is about 1 or 2km before the checkpoint area.

What is the one labeled "Kanchanaburi Immigration Checkpoint"?

I'm aware of Sangkhlaburi, but this appears to be a different one.

It is the province immigration center and detention center.  So where you would do extensions/90 day reporting if living in that province and be locked up pending deportation if illegal.

Lopburi,
Is it possible to do border runs at the Kanchanaburi Immigration Checkpoint?

If yes, what is required? Picture? Cash? Anything else?

It appears to be a checkpoint for extensions/90 day reports - not a border checkpoint.

As for Kap Choeng and Aranyaprathet it is a border crossing and likely office for province combined (not sure if same building as we do not have reports on exact location there for Google map yet).

Thanks.  More of an office than a checkpoint then.

Black is an office, purple means it is a border crossing.

Aranyaprathet is black, but surely there is also a border crossing in Aranyaprathet.

You're right. It seems that in case of an office and checkpoint combined/near each oter they only use the office symbol.

Why has Ko Sichang moved 40 kms south jumping over Pattaya in the process and ending up in Sattahip. Laem Chabang immigration appears to have disappeared. Sri Racha immigration office has been downgraded to a checkpoint only. This is a work in progress.
