It isn't based on any actual facts about the safety of the airport. Just the novelty of there being a golf course in the middle.

Plus a fairly-uninformed jibe about hookers & soldiers, the article can't be worth the paper it isn't printed on, they don't even appear to recognise that DMK was replaced by a new airport in 2006, which handles almost-all international flights to Bangkok.
Poor sensationalist journalism, pandering to the prejudices of the uninformed, makes 'the Nation' look like the pre-Murdoch 'Times' !

Just read the headline - "....Most Deadliest...." - that tells you everything you need to know about the quality of the journalism in the article. No need to read, file in the bin.
