It's a stupid question because I haven't tried it yet (not in a coverage area) but in anticipation of being in CM shortly, am wondering what one needs to do to connect...
I have the 899 baht 3G+/5Gb/Unlimited wifi yada yada bundle - which I'm currently getting H+ on, from my sgs2.
When I come down to Chiang Mai and I can see a True Wifi hotspot, I gather they're "open network" connections which will lead me to a landing page where presumably, I'll need a username and password to gain internet access. But how to obtain the wifi username and password for my current "bundle"???

You should have a SMS containing those details. Otherwise you can try calling them on 1331. You can also ask if the ycan register your phone's address on the system, so that you don't have to go to the landing page.
