BANGKOK, 22 February 2012 (NNT) - Thai boxer Khaosai Galaxy has been inducted into the international boxing Hall of Fame by The World Boxing Association (WBA).

Khaosai Galaxy is in the hall of fame under the Junior Bantamweight category. He joins other world's greatest boxers such as Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Sugar Ray Leonard, Thomas Hearns, and Roberto Duran as the all-time best .

He will officially receive the honor during the WBA Awards on February 28th, in Panama City.

Khaosai Galaxy had defended world's boxing belt 19 times and retired undefeated.

The WBA's Hall of Fame awards have been given to the greatest boxers of all times in 17 weight categories.

A very deserving award for a great fighter.  It should have been given sooner but still he is deserving.  He was a wonder to watch during his matches.

I'll second that. Saw several of his fights, and actually watched him in training one time. If I remember correctly, he was winning citations as best pound-for-pound champion during his reign. One of Thailand's finest ever champions for sure.

What fantastic news. I remember him lifting Thailand to new boxing hights in the early 90's, Well done and congratulations.
