The Merck Veterinary Manual is pretty good
http://www.merckvetm...m/mvm/index.jsp and this for general links for most "animal things" http://netvet.wustl.edu/e-zoo.htm #3Posted 2005-12-25 14:24:17
http://vetgate.ac.uk for large animals (farm)
http://www.cvm.uiuc.edu go to public services (engagement) page for poisounous plants lists, etc http://ivabs.massey.ac.nz/centres/ equine ets http://www.zoology.u...r/z/search.html http://www.marvistavet.com/index.html pets www.zoonet.org zoos and exotics obviously with links http://www.aapn.org/index.html (asian animal protection org) http://www.library.uiuc.edu/vex/ http://www.hbw.com/ibc/ internet bird collection (id birds, latin names etc) http://www.das.psu.e...PICS/index.html (cow icons etc for random chances) partial listing i have to check all my favorites cause there are redundant links, links that dont link anymore etc.... but from these u can get hundreds of others... my goat list is separate and terribly long and boring sorry udon, but i am not an avian person althgouh i have an avian doctor for our emu and the others i have no real rare species any more so regular vet or govt chicken vet is enough... #4Posted 2005-12-25 14:28:53

I find the link http://www.merckvetm...m/mvm/index.jsp very comprehensive and useful. I actually got a couple of books from this publication.
and http://www.thaipets.info very good for new habitant like me to know more about the Pets & Vets, health and care.. in Thailand. Thank you for sharing the information. I visited a few Vets here, no good luck, my dog always suffers from skin allergy in Bangkok. Does anyone has good recommendation? Any place or park that dog can go? #8Posted 2008-09-29 10:54:53

I'm a 53yo ex-Aussie vet living 28km out of Uttaradit.
Mostly did horses, buffs, cattle and dogs in Cambo/PNG/Austr Haven't done paid work since Jan 2010 (up near Cairns). Only place I (volunteer) worked in Thai was the clinic on Koh PhangNgan, pretty good setup there But to ingratiate myself at thaivisa.com, would be happy to offer free advice. WWW. access seems to be pretty good. Use this forum or can try aarnaarn@hotmail.com. ps. just moved to UTTDT. Am into jogging, cycling, rockabilly, and have GGbs of films/music to chare. Enjoy #11Posted 2011-08-31 15:55:49
What about http://www.thaipets.info the guy or guys (or girl or girls) seem to know what they talk about.... I may be mistaken, but from what I saw on the site it's either someone trying to flog you something or 'chatting'. with the ubiquitous 'girls' section. |
