Havew you any idea why the font in your posts are too small to read? I'm sure that it can't be intentional. #4Posted 2012-05-11 21:41:59
The print size problem was a S/W.
Hello Scoop1, went to Horti Aisa 2012 today for a quick look-see. Talked with them at the Knaap booth and they have coir slabs. Not compressed like their export ones, and you can chose which mix you want(see pix), should have a price next week. rice555 Attached Files#5Posted 2012-05-12 05:25:08

Hello All, from WET KORAT, got a call this morning from Knaap
and for 100 slabs was quoted Bt.60 each + VAT & shipping. They will @ me with total cost info, so will post when I get it. The coir I chose is their #2(same price as 2-5) in the TV-hydro thread where I gave prices, the #1 cost more. rice555 Edited by rice555, 2012-05-19 13:35:26. #7Posted 2012-05-19 14:41:49

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered..
What size is a slab? I'm assuming that this has nil or low level of salt? Thanks #9Posted 2012-05-20 09:31:17
Hi Loong, they have bags as well and they are 55ltrs 200ltrs and 1500ltrs, their website does not say anything about the size of slabs and normally if its good quality it will have an Electrical Conductivity { EC } of less than .3 milliSiemens per centimetre, which is good enough for hydroponics
Cheers Scoop #10Posted 2012-05-20 14:47:58
Hello All, the slabs I think(??) are 10 X 20 X 100cm which are
standerd in coir and rockwool for toms or chilies. It really doesn't mater the exact size, as they will handle 3 plants per slab. Pre-filled bags/slabs saves time when setting up a system, especially when it's a one horse show. I couldn't find plastic like this in LOS(see pic), it's a 12" W on B tube. Call them if if you want info, she speaks good English, or him with German. rice555 Attached Files#11Posted 11 minutes ago
Hi Rice , just got an email from Knaap, with the specifications of their product, EC less than 1.2 { thats way too high } EC less than .3 is normal , i guess i will keep looking. 55ltrs 150bt
