Could someone give me the closest word Thai has for feisty.

For example 'He/She is a feisty young man/woman.'

jai raawn, "hothead" is the closest  that pops to mind. Not really a compliment around here.

That's too strong and has negative connotations. Feisty is more neutral.

ระหองระแหง -ra-hong ra-haeng - might fit the bill if by feisty you mean contentious or quarrelsome. If you mean "spirited" then perhaps ฮึกเหิม- heuk heum.

Thanks, I think that ฮึกเหิม is what I am looking for.

After a chat with a friend who is a translator, I can confirm that ฮึกเหิม is what I am looking for. He was quick to point out that ฮึกเหิม has a similar meaning to feisty but is used more broadly, and can be substituted for 'rash' depending on the context. He gave me a general example using ฮึกเหิม:
