Hi,I want to soften the rear suspension of my 125cc D-TRACKER.
Can the original shock be adusted or do I have to buy a new one.
If so about how much would it cost.
Does anybody know,because I haven't a clue.
All help appreciated.

YSS provide rear shocks for your bike, fairly priced too.

I rode a D-Tracker 125 once and thought the stock suspension was already way soft. What do you weigh? Have you already softened the pre-load?

Please forgive my ignorance,
Who are YSS and what is a pre-load. I'm 60kg with a bad back that feels the bumbs. The bike has to go to the main dealers anyway, to fix the feul injection. Does it sound like i should ask them to soften the pre-load before I invest in new shocks. I presume the front shocks cannot be softened. Thank you very much for you're help, i live in rural thailand where the roads are bumpy and there are no other farangs to ask #5Posted Today, 15:54
I forgot to mention that there are 2 d-tracker 125s
One is offroad style and the othe is a road bike. I've got the roadbike style. #6Posted 6 minutes ago
I forgot to mention that there are 2 d-tracker 125s One is offroad style and the othe is a road bike. I've got the roadbike style. There aren't two D-Tracker 125's. There is a D-tracker 125: And a KLX 125: ![]() Pre-load is the amount of compression of the the spring(s) on your rear shock and the springs in your front forks. On most motorcycles you can adjust the pre-load on the rear shock(s). On some motorcycles you can also adjust the pre-load on the front forks. Putting it simply, if you want a softer ride, you need to reduce the pre-load. |
