Doesn't anyone know what happened to the police investigation into the assassination attempt on Sondhi. During the Abhisit administration the national police chief had to be removed because he was impeding the investigation and the man in charge of the investigation said he was only two weeks away from announcing some high level arrests. Then stony silence.

Can someone tell me why this creep Sondhi isn't in a jail cell? He has two prison sentences hanging over him....but out on eternal bail.... Because he signed a lease for Thaksins condo in Dubai. It shouldn't be long now before its vacant. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Thaivisa Connect App #28Posted 32 minutes ago
He can afford the bail.
He still owns a media company, no one wants to upset someone with that much money Sent from my GT-I9100 using Thaivisa Connect App #29Posted 25 minutes ago

I think the background is relatively well known to the assasination attempt though as far as I know it has not been discussed much if at all in the print media.Unfortunately there's not much that can be covered in this forum. One reason the trail went quiet I suspect was because of who was clearly not involved (ie Thaksin - even Sondhi doesn't suggest this). #30Posted 25 minutes ago
Just when everything is turning back to normal from many situations and events that happened in Thailand, Mr. Sondhi and the PADs have to return and start the rally again. Can you the Reds and PADs just stay in your holes and buried yourselves there for the sake of this country? #31#32Posted 13 minutes ago

Can someone tell me why this creep To whom are you referring? The one on the left is a red shirt, the one on the right is a yellow shirt The one on the left was was sentenced to two years in prison after a Junta appointed Assets Examination Committee was set up especially to find something to charge him with. He is currently based in Dubai but gets around the world quite a bit. Recently popped into the UK to watch a football match, not even ejected by the match stewards let alone arrested and deported back to Thailand as a "fugitive from justice". The one on the right has been sentenced and bailed 4 times and is currently out on bail supposedly preparing an appeal on a 20 year sentence. Not considered a flight risk - why should he be, he knows he's not going to jail. That's the difference. #33Posted 12 minutes ago
PAD should have been disbanded long ago. Serves no purpose whatsoever other than to try and create further social division. Everyone outside of either camp, red or yellow, is just so tired of it all. Reconciliation begins the day these two groups cease to exist, and not a day before. Why should PAD be disbanded? It's a free country and it is completely entitled to hold rallies if complying with the law. What is more its origins, leaving aside the issue of its unsavoury and authoritarian minded leadership, seem quite honourable - a middle class reaction against Thaksin's meglomania and the tyranny of the majority. The fact that it was ruthlessly exploited by the unelected elites is of course unfortunate, as was the increasingly thuggish and violent element among its younger followers.Once it had served its purpose it was muzzled: the unelected elites no more like yellow unpredictability than they do red unpredictability because both represent potential destabilisation of the status quo.If it is unleashed again it will be a calculated step by the elite to warn Thaksin not to overreach himself - all part of the great behind the scenes negotiation. If those Chinese grannies, thugs and weirdos now assembling in modest numbers think they are in control they are sadly mistaken. #34Posted 3 minutes ago
