Doesn't anyone know what happened to the police investigation into the assassination attempt on Sondhi.  During the Abhisit administration the national police chief had to be removed because he was impeding the investigation and the man in charge of the investigation said he was only two weeks away from announcing some high level arrests.  Then stony silence.

I think the background is relatively well known to the assasination attempt though as far as I know it has not been discussed much if at all in the print media.Unfortunately there's not much that can be covered in this forum.One reason the trail went quiet I suspect was because of who was clearly not involved (ie Thaksin - even Sondhi doesn't suggest this).

The one on the left is a red shirt, the one on the right is a yellow shirt

The one on the left was was sentenced to two years in prison after a Junta appointed Assets Examination Committee was set up especially to find something to charge him with. He is currently based in Dubai but gets around the world quite a bit. Recently popped into the UK to watch a football match, not even ejected by the match stewards let alone arrested and deported back to Thailand as a "fugitive from justice".

The one on the right has been sentenced and bailed 4 times and is currently out on bail supposedly preparing an appeal on a 20 year sentence. Not considered a flight risk - why should he be, he knows he's not going to jail.

That's the difference.

Why should PAD be disbanded? The second paragraph is total B##s#it, and you know it, so why for countless times you post it, are you trying to convince yourself it's real, you are missing out many factors, and choosing things that suit as usual.

I said disbanded, but i didn't say forceably. Of course if there are people that wish to keep the movement going, it's their free will to do so, providing they stay within the law. it's only my hope that they come to the realisation that what they are doing is more harm than good. But there are many things i hope for in life that don't come true. Such is life as they say...

Sorry , I neglected to say that the AEC was set up by the Junta to investigate Thaksin and his government, not just Thaksin alone. Did I miss anything else? Perhaps you can help me out, who else was investigated by the AEC apart from Thaksin and his family?

He was also sentenced to two years in prison after his own party took power, after he declared he trusted in the justice system and would respect whatever verdict they arrived at, and after he, via his lawyers, attempted to bribe the judges and failed.

Sorry for you -why ask me to help you out ?? all the truths have been answered, and are on record, Rixalex has just put the truth to you, if you want anymore look them up yourself-unless you don't like thing nearer the truth. Relax and admit the wrongs the same I do with any P.M. and it's followers. If this country was your business, and Thaksin did what he did would you be happy with him  ???   Sondi--and other colour leeders are o.k. until they overstep their mark.

I think Sondhi and/or his son actually said that it wasn't Thaksin soon afterwards.  But who was it then or is that a question we are not permitted to ask on this forum?

I don't know if the PAD can muster much support these days but then the movement started very small in 2005. It will be interesting to see how the red shirts respond to this.  Now that they are in power it is more difficult to take the moral high ground and futile to call for arson and revolution.  Will firebrands Nattawut and Jatuporn enthrall tens of thousands of "prai" again by with histrionic exhortations to aggressively ignore all injustices done to them by Abhisit, Suthep, Prem and other "amartiya" and do nothing, so the Great Leader can can home and get his money back and they themselves can enjoy looting the taxpayer as government ministers?  Perhaps a lecture on Maoist dialectics from Dr Weng will do the trick.
