When I read the comments from both sides of this debate I am reminded of the great divide in perception between Darwin and Bishop Usher. A controversy which led to the famous debate between Wilberforce and Huxley http://spiritualmean...el-wilberforce/
This debate continues to this day so I guess the "Great Thaivisa debate" will continue indefinitely. The question is, are Ozmick and friends Darwinites or UsheritesPosted Image
I guess by denying Thaksin his god-like mantle (self-spun out of whole cloth), we must be closer to the Darwinites. We see things as they are, and not how others wish they were.

Ozmick, Well fieldedPosted Image Posted Image
Let us take the analogy further then. Darwin's original theory has been discarded, or rather modified. Evolution is now seen as a series of "punctuated equilibria". I think this applies to many Reds, Thaksinism is increasingly the old dogma, true democracy, not Democrat democracy, is gaining in their minds.
When both Reds and Yellows have their guns targeted on corruption and inefficiency Thailand might start to pull back from the brink.

Sorry I should have realised the entire Western Media, along with Thai studies specialists, intellectuals and academics were bamboozled by Robert Amsterdam on behalf of his paymaster.

However could I have thought otherwise?
Seems he has you and a few others on TVF convinced too Jayboy.

1) The only hole that was being dug was yours with regards the daft claim you made about the entire civilised world's thoughts.

2) You were asking me to admit defeat. To repeat, since i made no claim, what am i to admit defeat about?

I can only repeat the advice given earlier.
Well that's not quite the only thing you could do. You could answer my question... or maybe you couldn't?

Whilst i am very accustomed to having a completely contrasting opinion to you, i usually feel our disagreements are argued on a reasonably sane and reasoned plain - at least i think so. I can't say that for today. But perhaps it's me, not you... perhaps it's finally happened... perhaps i've gone crazy...

There are one or two genuine psychotic crazies on the forum , but you are definitely not one of them.If I have been too argumentative on this thread I apologise

Are the reds and the yellows are on the same side then? Both want justice and don't want Thaksin's reconciliation (code for amnesty for Thaksin)? That would be good news.
